Kentucky Paranormal Investigators

Middlecreek Civil War National Battlefield

Middlecreek National Battlefield

This investigation took place at a local civil war battlefield 147 years to the day of the actual battle. This was the largest civil war battle in eastern kentucky. James A. Garfield would lead the north to victory for his first significant victory on his way to becoming president. Investigators present were Chad Mckenzie, Kirk Berry, Kevin Bush and Zack Kelly. We spent a long night investigating what turned out to be one of the most active locations we have done. We had unexplainable emf hits at several locations along with several evp's. At one point we were able to outline the shape of a person with our emf detector while catching this on video.  We also captured some photographic anomolies that we tried to recreate but were unsuccessful. At one point we were able to get direct responses to questioning and captured this on a digital recorder. We will list some of the evp's below. All in all this was an incredible investigation. This was Zack's first major investigation as well as his first time helping with the technical team and he did an outstanding job. The whole team worked well and the evidence we caught shows it.

evp2     After Chad says hello you will hear a response of " hello " in a raspy voice.

evp4      While Kevin and Kirk are talking in the background you will hear a noise then the word " general " spoken very fast.

evp8      Chad and Kevin are investigating the orchard and the emf meter spikes to 4 and holds. Chad asks a question and you will hear a very distorted voice say " how do you like the weather ".  We did not enhance the audio on this file so we could keep the same pitch and tone.
evp9      This happened just seconds following evp8. Chad explains that if someone is there that they can come up and touch the red light on the equipment and you hear the same distorted voice say " like this".
evp10    This is in the same session as evp8 and 9. Chad asks if someone is trying to communicate with them and you hear a very plain " yes ".

We have since returned to this location 2 more times. Each time we have went we have captured at least a small amount of evidence. We hosted an investigation at this location following a recreation of the battle and had some actors volunteer in uniform to go with us. We had a great time and hope to make it a yearly function.
